Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia was on a working visit to London on 8 and 9 December 2014. In the course of the visit, Minister Stefanovic met David Lidington, Minister of State for Europe at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Mark Sedwill, Permanent Secretary at the Home Office, Angus Lapsley, Director of the European and Global Issues Secretariat at the UK’s Cabinet Office, Lord Boswell, Chairman of the EU Committee in the House of Lords as well as with Keith Bristow, Director General of the National Crime Agency. Minister Stefanovic and Director Bristow signed a Memorandum on cooperation in the fight against organized crime, illegal migrations and human trafficking.
In these meetings, the Serbian and UK representatives noted a high level of cooperation in the field of home affairs between the two countries and expressed their readiness to further promote their relations especially in the field of cyber crime and the fight against terrorism.
