On the occasion of 9 May, Victory over Fascism Day, HE Aleksandra Joksimović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the United Kingdom, laid a wreath at the Memorial “Tower Hill” in the City of London, dedicated to Allied ships sunk during both world wars. The name of the ship of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia “Vojvoda Putnik” is engraved among other Allied ships sunk during WW II. In March 1943, the ship with its 44 crew members was sunk in an attack by a German submarine.
The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by Defense Attaché, Dragan Dabović.
