The author of book “Our Brother – Life of Captain Flora Sands”, Louise Miller was a guest of the Serbian Embassy on 11 February 2016. Ms Miller gave a lecture on Serbian Herioters, Serbian boys who were admitted in George Heriot school in Edinburg following their retreat across Albania in the First World War. The boys proved to be outstanding students excelling in many sports activities and after four years returned to Serbia. The lecture was based upon Louise Miller’s research which will be included in her new book. Ms Miller’s lecture, organized by the Serbian Council within the month of Serbian Culture in Britain, was attended by members of Serbian diaspora, FCO and Imperial War Museum representatives as well as university professors. The guests were greeted by Mr. Nebojsa Radojicic, Minister Counsellor. Ms Zvezdana Popovic from Kensington and Chelsea Library spoke about the ties between Serbia and Scotland.
