Pupils of ballet school ASD from Belgrade performed before the Royal family in the final celebration of Queen Elizabeth II 90th birthday, as part of Patrons Lunch, held on 12 June 2016, as the only participants outside the United Kingdom. ASD School was invited to take part in event by Royal Dance Academy prompted by the brilliant success that the school’s pupils achieved having been ranked as best within the system of ballet schools of the Royal Dance Academy. The Embassy hosted a reception in their honor attended by participants and prominent members of Serbian diaspora in London. Minister Counsellor Nebojsa Radojicic congratulated young ballet dancers for their remarkable success and thanked them for their contribution to the promotion of cultural cooperation between Serbia and UK. The school’s founder and director, Ana Dosen, informed the guests of the school’s activities and emphasized that it was important for the school not only to have been acknowledged but also that it established a cultural bridge between Serbia and the United Kingdom.
