In co-organization with the Peer Gallery, the book launch on artist Olga Jevrić was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in London. The launch followed a successful exhibition at Handel Street Projects and an extensive review of Olga Jevrić’s work at Peer Gallery, the first of its kind in the UK.

In her address, Ambassador Aleksandra Joksimović reminded the guests of Olga's life's work, and the special place her unique visual language occupies in the pantheon of European post-war sculpture. Expressing gratitude to Fedja Klikovac, who participated in the preparation of the exhibition of Olga Jevrić’s works in London, and Peer Gallery for organizing the event, Joksimović particularly emphasized the importance of supporting and co-financing the entire project by the Ministry of Culture and Information of R. Serbia, as well as the involvement of the Embassy in the realization of the event.

Representatives of the Peer Gallery, led by Director Ingrid Swenson, as well as the renowned British sculptors and co-authors of the book on the artist Olga Jevrić, Richard Deacon and Phyllida Barlow, addressed the audience.

Richard Deacon, the author of the pedestrian bridge project from Kalemegdan Fortress to the Sava riverside, emphasized the authenticity of the artistic expression of Olga Jevrić, which possesses a kind of the artist’s own life realized through a contact with the observer.

The book on artist Olga Jevrić (1922-2014) is a unique overview of her author's work, as the most important modern sculptor in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. The collection of texts and images provides a spectrum of views on Olga’s life’s work. The book is co-authored by Fedja Klikovac, art historian Ješa Denegri, Richard Deacon and Phyllida Barlow.
