The representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the United Kingdom paid a working visit to Cardiff (Wales). On this occasion, the hosts presented the economic, educational and cultural potentials of Cardiff and Wales, but also outlined their views on the current political situation in the UK, as well as the process of Britain's exit from the European Union. Possibilities for improving the relations were discussed jointly, primarily in the field of economic cooperation and intensification of contacts.
Ambassador Joksimović and First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford AM exchanged their views on the forthcoming elections in the UK and the perspective of the relations with the European Union.
Ann Jones AM, Deputy Presiding Officer, National Assembly for Wales, introduced the representatives of the Embassy with the way this institution functioned and presented the Welsh Youth Parliament, established in 2018.
In his discussion with Ambassador Joksimović, The Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Daniel De’Ath, showed his interest in the possibilities of establishing cooperation with the towns in Serbia.
