The work of the All-Party Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia was reaffirmed at the virtual meeting chaired by Andrew Bridgen MP, on 14 December. Ambassador Joksimović informed the participants of the meeting about the foreign policy priorities of the Republic of Serbia and presented an overview of bilateral relations with the United Kingdom. She informed the members of the Group about the current data on the degree of COVID-19 infection, the efforts that are being made in the health care of the population, as well as the state's engagement in obtaining vaccines.
The fact that the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United Kingdom in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has 63 members, illustrates the interest of our side in improving parliamentary cooperation and overall bilateral relations. At the end of her presentation, Ambassador Joksimović expressed the expectation that British MPs would soon have the opportunity to visit Serbia and talk to their colleagues and state officials.
With the emphasis on the importance of finalizing the trade agreement and the potential for further improvement of economic cooperation, both sides stated the common interest in intensifying contacts and deepening parliamentary cooperation.
