Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the United Kingdom paid a working visit to Belfast (Northern Ireland). On this occasion, the hosts presented the economic, educational and cultural potentials of Belfast and Northern Ireland, as well as their views on the implementation of the Protocol on Northern Ireland and the perspective of negotiations between the United Kingdom and the European Union on this issue. They discussed possibilities for improving relations, primarily in the field of economic cooperation and intensification of contacts.
Ambassador Joksimović was hosted by First Minister Paul Givan and Junior Minister Declan Kearney at Stormont Castle. During the two-day visit to Belfast, a visit to the Parliament was organized, a meeting with the Director of the Belfast Chamber of Commerce, Simon Hamilton, as well as other meetings with prominent representatives of the city government and the business sector.
