In a joint organization with the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, a promotion of wines from Serbia was held at the Embassy. The event was attended by a large number of representatives of the British business community, interested partners, representatives of the diplomatic corps and diaspora.
In her address, Ambassador Joksimović briefly introduced the audience to the wine industry in Serbia and its potential. In this context, she emphasized that wine is a component of regional cooperation, apostrophizing the successfully held international Wine Fair in Belgrade, within the regional initiative “Open Balkans”. The Ambassador particularly emphasized the possibilities for improving the presence of wines from Serbia on the UK market. The guests were also addressed by the Director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, M. Labović, as well as the Chairman of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce D. Landsman.
As the largest importer of Serbian wines in the UK, the company NIKO Wine presented itself in the Embassy. As part of the promotion, guests had the opportunity to taste the wines of the Aleksić, Doja, Erdevik, Vukoje, Budimir, Deurić and Cilić wineries.
