In the Serbian Embassy in London, on 19 April 2018, a discussion was held on the subject of surrealism’s impact on the fashion creations of that time, with a special emphasis on the creative work of Milena Pavlović Barili. The event was organized by the Contemporary Balkan Art Association in London. The discussion was led by fashion historian and author of several books Genevieve Barnott Jones. Daniel Milford- Cottam, a fashion historian, with curator experience at the Victoria and Alberta Museum, John Michael O’ Sullivan, a designer and correspondent of several prestigious British newspapers, and Stefan Zarić, art historian and an expert for Milena Pavlović Barili’s creative work, participated in the discussion. The event was attended by a significant number of people from Diaspora, as well as from the cultural and academic circles of London.
